Legends recognised at annual awards

New Zealander Jim Lapsley took out top honours at the 2011 Legends Tour Annual awards handed out at Byron Bay Golf Club following the conclusion of the 2011 tournament season.
Lapsley was named E-Z-GO Player of the Year and recognised for his performance that saw him claim eight titles throughout the season and finish second on the overall moneylist behind Ken Tarling.
Wayne Rogers was presented with the David Mercer Award for dedication to the Legends Tour, Amateurs and Pros while former Australian PGA Seniors Champion Noel Ratcliffe was honoured with the Randall Vines Award for best player over 65.

The awards were presented by Chairman Mark Gibson, Life-Member David Mercer, Legend Randall Vines and Darren Woodrow from Augusta Golf Cars.
The evening night capped off another fantastic year of Australian Legends golf which continues to grow with each year that passes.
The 2012 PGA Legends Tour season is already underway with Mike Harwood and David Saunders named joint winners for the first tournament of 2012, the Bayview Col Crawford BMW Legends Pro-Am.
